Presentation Development – Crafting the Experience

Updated: Nov 14, 2024

This post promotes our upcoming booth presentation and the preparations leading up to it.

Goal

The date for the Echoing Lights Prototype Presentation Booth is quickly approaching. As the group prepares to share our prototype with the public at Stratford on November 6 from 2-3:45 PM at 125 St. Patrick St. in the Atrium, we are finalizing our material development to ensure it will engage our guests' attention. Our goal is to create excitement and generate anticipation for the completed working installation at the Lights On Stratford Festival. We aim to make guests leave feeling eager to see and interact with the installation.

Brainstorming & Research

To develop and begin bringing the promotional materials to life, research was conducted to identify important aspects of the printed materials, such as various printing options and costs. In addition to the promotional materials (postcards, posters, and videos), the team discussed alternative methods to enhance our guests' interactivity and engagement beyond traditional materials. One creative suggestion was to incorporate stickers into the materials. Stickers will allow guests to take a piece of the installation with them, forming a connection even after booth hours are over.

Preparation

In preparation for the Echoing Lights Prototype Presentation Booth, the amazing Media Creation and Communications and Marketing teams are transforming the project concept into promotional materials in the form of posters, postcards, videos, and stickers. The innovative Programming and Technical Implications team is working hard to generate a prototype to visually display the conceptual idea of the installation and its interactivity. Overall, the team is working diligently to create engaging materials that will enhance guests' experiences at the booth and excite them for what's to come, take a look at a few promotional materials below:

Booth Setup

On the day of the presentation, the booth will be equipped with a table, chairs, a large mobile flatscreen TV, and access to power and Wi-Fi. We plan to display posters, postcards, and stickers on the table, while the flatscreen TV will showcase media content related to our concept, including GIFs of light echoes, important slides from the presentation, the logo, and our social media handles. We want to create a booth that is welcoming and not overwhelming with content; we aim for an open flow so guests can approach, chat with the team, and learn more about the installation. The setup is designed to create an engaging environment that draws guests in.

Looking Ahead

We are excited to showcase our conceptual ideas to guests and generate in-person engagement around the installation. We look forward to gathering feedback and sparking curiosity, paving the way for a successful launch at the festival. Come learn more about Echoing Lights on November 6, 2024, from 2-3:45 PM at 125 St. Patrick St. in the Atrium. We look forward to seeing you there!
