This post introduces the conflict the group has gone through so far. Along with how we overcame it and stayed on track for success.
Challenges
In class today, our team held a discussion to address the ongoing challenges we have been facing and to attempt to establish a clearer direction moving forward. We acknowledged that the project management team needs to be a bit more strict, by tracking individual progress, ensuring each team member remains on schedule and has the support needed to complete their assigned tasks. Additionally, we recognized that the project lead needs to take on a stronger leadership role, not only by guiding the team and advocating for the group’s needs but also by setting clear priorities and making decisions to remove any obstacles. With this increased involvement, it will help ensure that each team member’s contributions align with our goals and that we can adapt to any unexpected challenges. To strengthen this direction, we emphasized the importance of open communication encouraging anyone who needs help with their responsibilities to reach out without hesitation. Additionally, we planned our next team check-in to review overall progress and ensure we are collectively moving forward with clarity and purpose.
Staying on Track
In terms of staying on track, today, our team focused on ensuring we stay on track with key project milestones. We recorded a video for the weekly interview, highlighting the overall project and what it's all about. Together, we reviewed our ideas and discussed the vision we want to project, covering essential details such as how the interaction should work, the visual elements involved, and whether to incorporate sound effects for enhanced engagement. Additionally, we covered some considerations, including budget, clearly defining roles and responsibilities, and brainstorming creative touches like stickers to enhance our booth presentation. Moving forward, the project managers will take a more strict approach by regularly checking in with each team member individually to keep everyone aligned and reduce any potential confusion. Looking ahead, our group's goal will center on booth preparation, ensuring everything is ready for an engaging and cohesive showcase.
